Dr. Ohhira's Probiotics has been named a 'Best of Supplements award winner in the Probiotic Category for the fifth year in a row, the only probiotic supplement to achieve this honor. Better Nutrition Magazine presented the Award during the Natural Products Expo East held in Baltimore, Sept. 20-23.

New research has found that the use of certain antibiotics may put children at higher risk for developing bowel diseases.
The earlier children take antibiotics and the more they take, the higher the risk of later developing inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) known as Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Dr. Matt Kronman, assistant professor of paediatric infectious diseases at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle said that there appears to be a 'dose response' effect, the more antibiotics children took, the more their risk increased.
