Fruit bars are also often high in fructose, especially those that contain dried apple or pear. Dried fruit is hard to digest for many Crohn’s patients as well, because of its high fructose content.
Better choices for Crohn’s sufferers who like fruit are stone fruits, such as peaches, apricots, and nectarines. It’s advisable that Crohn’s suffers cut back on foods that are known to cause gas until they get their conditions under control.
