Homeopathic Remedies for Crohns

Homeopathic remedies for Crohn’s disease have proved to be effective for many individuals. These natural, gentle treatments have done wonders to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and offer complete healing for the gut.

Two of the most popular homeopathic remedies for Crohn’s are phosphorus and sepia, but causticum, thuja, and nux vomica have also worked well to help people get rid of symptoms and finally bring their guts to a place of balance.

Let’s take a look at these two Crohn’s remedies and the healing benefits they can offer.

Phosphorus is a good remedy for inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBS) and Crohn’s. A typical dose might be 30c prescribed twice weekly for use over four weeks’ time. For more serious symptoms, greater doses can be prescribed. When taking phosphorus, it’s important not to miss a dose because symptoms that seem to have gone away can come back if the full program is not followed.

Sepia is a good homeopathic remedy for Crohn’s because it addresses pain, particularly pain in the abdominal area. A common sepia prescription might be 200c, given three times within 24 hours. Sepia can help with aching joints and night sweats that appear to be associated with Crohn’s. This homeopathic remedy should be taken for at least four weeks, and may be required for up to six months.

Phosphorus and sepia can be taken together to relieve multiple symptoms experienced in combination with Crohn’s. If symptoms seem to go away, even for months, this pairing of homeopathic remedies can be used again to get rid of pain, stiffness, low energy, constipation, and diarrhea.

Like other homeopathic remedies, phosphorus and sepia work under the assumption that distinct dilutions of substances have a demonstratable effect on living organisms under laboratory conditions. Homeopaths believe this means that the bacteria and fungi in the gut can be eliminated by training the body to recognize what harms it and learn how to put up a fight.

Sepia will affect the human body by “training” it slowly to recognize a harmful substance and ultimately know how to fight it.
