What’s the difference Between Dr Ohhira’s Probiotics Professional and Original Formulas?
Dr Ohhira’s Probiotics Professional Formula has been fermented for 5 years in comparison to the Original Formula that has been fermented for 3 years. The longer the fermentation, the more potent the formula is. They have found that in the Professional Formula, on colonization, the LAB strains will double themselves every 30 minutes for the first 8 hours.
The ingredients are identical in both Dr Ohhira’s Probiotics Original Formula and the Professional Formula. However, during the fifth year of processing the formula is modified to provide organic acids that are more robust than those contained in the Original Formula.
These more robust organic acids help change the pH of the colon. This allows for greater cohesion and proliferation of the lactic acid bacteria strains.
People who have a severely compromised immune system, or any type of digestive conditions for that matter, get great benefit. Their condition is known as Dysbiosis, which entails an imbalance of micro-flora as well as an imbalance of the pH of the colon. Dysbiosis is associated with too few colonies of friendly flora and organic acids.

Dr Ohhira’s Kampuku Soap-How is the probiotic kept alive during process of soap making with heat?
What type of strain of probiotic is in the soap?
The Kampuku Beauty Bar contains a probiotic extract from Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotics along with essential botanicals for radiant skin.
That is to say, the probiotic soap bar does not contain live bacteria, but rather, it contains the postbiotic metabolites
or the organic acid blend that is produced by the live bacteria during the fermentation process.
More and more research into the value of probiotics is showing that it is the postbiotic metabolites or
what the bacteria produce which are the key benefits to our health — including the benefits both
within the intestinal tract as well as on the skin.
These organic acids are responsible for balancing the pH of this skin and promoting a healthy dermal environment that will promote a beneficial microbiome rather than stripping away the beneficial bacteria like many cleansers will.
