Candida Albicans

Candida is a yeast that lives in your digestive system. It is kept under control by strengthening the friendly, good bacteria that will overcrowd Candida and so keep your system balanced.

Unfortunately, elements such as antibiotics, birth control pills, cortisone, chemotherapy, street drugs, alcohol, junk food, parasites and even worms kill these friendly bacteria. This allows the Candida fungus that grow and spread. It spreads throughout your entire digestive system. It leads to chronic symptoms that are difficult to overcome.

Candida requires immediate attention. Left untreated, the fungus is able to grow into a plant-like structure with roots that can penetrate the intestinal wall. This can cause microscopic holes that allows toxins, undigested food, bacteria and yeast to enter the bloodstream and travel to other areas of the body. This includes the mouth, throat, reproductive organs, lungs and skin.

The most common chronic health issues related to Candida are:

  • digestive problems like colitis, distension, heartburn, gas and indigestion
  • hemorrhoids and mucus in the stools
  • food allergies and food reactions
  • cravings for sugar, bread or alcohol

It may also cause a variety of medical issues: menstrual problems, sexual dysfunction, skin conditions, sinus infections, fatigue and a feeling of always being sick. Read more Candida Albicans and Candidiasis Management and Candida Fungal yeast infection in Children kids

Dr Pam recommends:

  1. Genova Microbiology Test (GSD6400) is an excellent way to identify which particular type of the yeast is present in your system. If the lab finds any pathogenic yeast, they grow it out and let us know which natural and medical agents would be beneficial in counteracting their effect

  2. Oreganol (NHS1000) is an excellent anti-fungal. So is O'Leave Olive leaf extract and Citricidal. Caprylic Acid is another good support supplement for yeast overgrowth.

  3. Perfect Pass Probiotic (PSN2000) is different to other probiotics. It is made of bacillus strains, that are human strains, found in nature, and they do survive stomach acid 100% of the time. They fulfill all the requirements of being a therapeutic probiotic as outlined in the Human Microbiome Project Research.

  4. The research also tells us that the most important aspect of maintaining a healthy gut is diversity. When the body is exposed to an overwhelming number of pathogenic yeast, the balance of the microbiome gets upset. The one supplement known to help diversity is prebiotics. The PerfectPass Prebiotic (PSN1000) is one of the best on market today, with no gastric side effects like inulin and FOS, no taste, no odor and really easy to take.

  5. Many people report effective results using Garden of Life's Fungal Defense together with Garden of Life's Primal Defense probiotics.

  6. Other probiotics that show excellent results are Dr Ohhira's Professional OMX Probiotics (OMX1060) and Visbiome ((VIS1000)).

  7. Aquaflora Homeopathic remedies are a very successful protocol, especially for highly sensitive individuals.

  8. The Candida Cookbook (BUR1000) is a great resource. It is very important to change your eating habits so as not to feed Candida yeast. It will help you eliminate foods that feed yeast.
