Lactobaccillus e faecium - or entrococcus faecium - is a very non-invasive, safe bacteria that has a reproduction time of 19 minutes compared to Lactobacillus Acidophilus or Bifidus which is around 60 minutes. With reproduction time 3 times faster the reversing of dysbiosis, (removal of pathogenic floras), in the intestines is speeded by its outgrowing the unfavorable flora. E. Faecium is also more acid producing than acidophilus creating an unfavorable environment for most pathogens. It is also more resistant to chemotherapeutics and stomach acid, which allows for less destruction to the oral supplementation and faster colonization of intestinal walls.
Special benefits are the anti-pathogenic activity, shown in studies, and the increase in nutrient absorption when E. Faecium is introduced into the diet. The effects of this amazing flora are often noticeable within the first few days after introduction, whereas people often do not immediately notice the effect of other cultures.
Lactobacillus e faecium has not acquired the strong reputation it deserves due to a possible desire to prevent its wide spread acceptance and the fact it has often been confused with the bacteria Strep Fecalis. Reports about Fecalis have often mistakenly used the name Faecium and the distinction should be clarified.
Research on the use of Lactobacillus e faecium or enterococcus faecium in the body is quite extensive in other countries. One manufacturer in Sweeden, AB Cernelle, has been supplying E. Faecium since 1967 to health practitioners in the US and abroad. In Germany it has been used along with Strep Thermophilus for decades. Others even in the US have even been injecting E. Faecium, though the CDC takes a dim view of those in the US doing this, even though no action has been taken to stop its use. The CDC told me, if even lactobacillus e faecium was introduced to an open cut it is non-invasive. We have been eating this product daily for over 20 years along with many of our clients and their pets. Due to its rapid growth and quick regeneration time it is well suited for rectal implants.
Multi Acidophilus also includes Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Bifido L., 2 strains of L. Rhamnosus, Thermophilus and Bulgaricus, the other most effective probiotics for re-colonization and restoration of intestinal wall integrity, function and assimilation to make it a complete formula for those who have had a majority of their flora destroyed; or have reimplanted other bacteria but have not yet obtained the desired results of being able to maintain optimal ecological balance. Multi Acidophilus contains the best strains of flora for restoring and maintaining this positive balance. Many other strains could be added to make it look like more on the label, but the fact is these are the most effective and beneficial flora and adding more strains, though they may be useful, would not produce results as rapidly. Nor are the bacteria centrifuged to break up the chains into smaller chains giving a false higher appearing count. A small amount of FOS or fructooligosaccharides, is included as a synergist food.
Psyllium and other fibers are used synergystically in the intestines with these cultures to produce other substances that aid in rapid repairing of the intestinal wall and proper assimilation of nutrients. It would be good to add a natural fiber blend supplement to your diet along with the Multi Acidophilus.
Suggested Usage for Multi Acidophilus: To maintain healthful intestinal flora, take 1 capsule 1-3 times per day, preferably 30 minutes after meals. When taking antibotics, wait two hours before ingesting.
