Proenzyplex Nutritional Data
- Proenzyplex is a high potency acid stable enzyme complex with a-chymotrypsin.
- Proenzyplex is a Glycolytic, Lipolytic AND Proteolytic complex
- Proenzyplex may be used for inflammation of the digestive tract and also inflammation due to injury and/or surgical intervention. For post-surgical use, it is wise to wait until the lesion has knitted together.
Use Proenzyplex between meals to assist in reducing inflammation in the digestive tract and help repair the mucosal lining. This will assist in encouraging improved absorption of nutrients and avoid malnutrition.
Injury: Inflammation is usually confined to the location of impairment. Visible signs may include bruising discoloration, swelling, redness, and/or inflammation. Proteolytic enzymes used post-operative can help speed up recovery and reduce scarring.
Proteolytic enzymes help to reduce inflammation, swelling, and bruising in cases of physical injury. Athletes given oral administrations of proteolytic enzymes after sustaining injury recover and return to play more quickly than those not receiving the enzymes.
A number of studies demonstrate beneficial results
from the prophylactic use of enzymes in athletic sports.
A group of 64 football players were subject to a
double-blind study considering the prophylactic use of
proteolytic enzymes. Thirty-two players received a
proteolytic combination† of enzymes prior to play. The
second group of thirty-two received a placebo. The
results demonstrate the beneficial application of
enzymes in prophylactic use. Those sustaining injury
in the enzyme group had a much higher recovery rate
than those in the placebo group, allowing them to
return to play sooner.
Another study involving 20 karate fighters in the prophylactic use of enzymes revealed that the ten fighters in
the enzyme group recovered from injuries twice as fast as the ten fighters in the control group.
Taking enzymes in combination appears to have greater effect because of their reliance on one another as catalysts and varied pH sensitivities. While enzymes should never be used in place of the need for medical intervention such use can be of great value in supporting the bodies journey to recovery and health.
