See about Candida Cleanse & Diet
Once the friendly and helpful bacteria have been destroyed, the yeast begins to grow abundantly and literally takes over the digestive system.
If left untreated, it becomes a fungus and grows into a plant-like structure that has roots, called rhizoids.
Rhizoids can penetrate the mucosa or intestinal wall, leaving microscopic holes and allowing toxins, undigested food particles, bacteria and yeast to enter the bloodstream.
This condition is known as Leaky Gut Syndrome.
When the break through of the intestinal walls occurs, it also allows the yeast to travel to other areas of the body e.g. mouth, sinuses, throat, reproductive organs, lungs and skin.
When under stress the adrenals glands will produce the anti-inflammatory hormone Cortisol. If stress is prolonged Cortisol will continue to be released.
Cortisol can lower the immune system and raise blood sugar. Both of these actions increase in Candida Albicans.
The immune response is decreased and allows the Candida previously present in normal amounts to begin to overgrow.
Some evidence indicates that Cortisol may inhibit or kill friendly helpful bacteria like acidophilus which protects us against Candida.
Candida Albicans is particularly noticeable in diabetics as they have higher glucose levels.
Other pathogenic organisms also help Candida to live: Parasites and intestinal worms destroy the friendly and good bacteria that normally eat Candida.
They, along with other harmful bacteria and viruses, also inhibit the normal immune system response in our intestines that would kill Candida.
Millions of people of all ages and both sexes are troubled by disorders related to yeast infection. Yeast related complaints range from digestive disorders, fatigue, headache and depression in adults to ear problems, hyperactivity, attention deficits and autism in children.
Some who have candida may develop sensitivity to the environment. Many cannot tolerate the smell of rubber, petroleum products, tobacco, exhaust fumes, and chemical odors.
Yeast related complaints are often worse in damp, muggy or moldy places.

If your answer is yes to any question, check the box in the right hand column. When you've completed the questionnaire, add up the points you've checked. Your score will help you determine the possibility (or probability) that your health problems are connected to yeast infection.
Scoring for women: If your score is 9 or more, your health problems are probably yeast connected. If your score is 12 or more, your health problems are almost certainly yeast connected.
Scoring for men: If your score is 7 or more, your health problems are probably yeast connected. If your score is 10 or more, your health problems are almost certainly yeast connected.

Microbiology home test evaluates the stool for levels of yeast, other pathogenic and imbalanced flora as well as beneficial helpful probiotic flora.
Genova Microbiology Test will identify which strains of yeast are present in your system and also what treatment agents, both medicinal and herbal, will assist in eliminating the particular fungus or yeast, which may not be the candida strain. Thus, the particular treatment needed specifically for you, is established.
If you have been treated for Candida and still have symptoms, consider running Genova, aka as Great Smokie's, Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis & Parasitology Test. Other pathogenic organisms like bacteria and parasites, as well as numerous strains of fungus and yeast, besides candida, will mimic the symptoms of candida. The comprehensive test will give you added information about your digestive malfunction. It will also identify which strains of bacteria, parasitea and yeast are present in your system. Treatment agents, both medicinal and herbal, are recommended that will assist in eliminating these pathogenic organisms.
Candida overgrowth manifests as hyperacidity in the body. An acid environment is ideal to foster increased growth of yeast and fungus.
A simple home Litmus paper test used on a regular basis will help you assess and adjust your acid/alkaline balance.
Changes may also be made by selecting foods that are more alkaline than acid forming. See Acid & Alkaline forming Food List
